Just kidding!
Well, I thought we would make it passed all the sickness that has been floating around out there in the world. But NOOOOO!! Yesterday as I was getting the finishing touches done on my sharing time, Ohtee came in to tell me he had a sore throat. Not only did he have a sore throat but he had a fever too. I could see it on his face, and then when I touched him that proved my suspicion. It was over 101 which is not overly high but it was enough to knock him down. Well, since I had to do sharing time, The Dad was going to stay home from church with him. I went tot get the girls up and ready. When I came back to see how things were going, The Dad was holding KeeKee's head while she threw up in a towel. Lovely, The Dad does not do throw up. I thought for sure I was going to have to call someone to do my sharing time for me. But The Great Dad stepped up and stayed home with the sickos. Then after sharing time, I felt myself getting a sore throat. I thought it was from talking for a long time, but as the day went on, I knew I was getting whatever yuck was going around. When I woke up this morning, Keekee seemed to be feeling better but Ohtee still has a fever. My sore throat is worse and I now have a cough. We have spent most of the day sleeping and watching TV in bed. I am feeling better and hope this is just a cold and not the nasty flu!

And then...
Much has happened since the first week of March. We are still looking for work, but there is success coming. The Dad has had a few interviews. All sound like great opportunities. We had spring break, which came at a great time. We went to Grandma's house for a week and had a wonderful time. The first day we arrived, the kids wanted to go swimming at Grandma's Rec. Center. So we did. Then the next morning, Grandma had them all write down three things they each wanted to do during the week, each on a separate piece of paper. Then we put them in a bowl and pulled one out each day. That was great fun to find out what we would do for the day. One of the days was at a place called Jump On It! This was a huge warehouse with trampolines set up next to each other. Then the jumpers could jump from one to the other. The kids had a blast. Ahlah came home with a few bruises but said she would do it again. Thanks Grandma for such a fun week!!
Then we drove home Sunday. We left pretty early so we would get home with time to relax before starting the new week. When we got home, The Dad said he was driving to his monthly entrepreneurial meeting, which is in So. Cal, instead of flying. He asked if we wanted to go with him. OF COURSE!!! So even though we had been in the car for a little over 8 hours that day already, we jumped back in and went for another 8 hour ride. Our kids are pretty good traveler! Especially when they are asleep. So, The Dad when to his meeting Monday and the kids and I went to Disneyland. We then drove home Tuesday morning. This was a great end to spring break. I was really dreading coming back to reality. Thanks Dad for taking us all with you!!
The rest of the week has been pretty busy, too. Between the Kindergarten field trip to Farm City and building the furniture for The Dad's new office, I feel like this is the first time I have sat down in a long time. Today was especially tiring since we split wood for a good part of the day. Our neighbor across the street had to cut down her beautiful maple tree. It was splitting in the middle, growing fungus, and growing new limbs from the split. It was a disaster waiting to happen. So she offered us half of the wood if we would help with the splitting of it. I think we ended up with more than half and we are all very tired. But we got up early and started by 8 am and were done by 2 pm. Then we had lunch and relaxed for the rest of the day. All in all, a very productive week. And bonus, I don't have any meetings in the morning since it is Easter.

March
This past week has come and gone. Faster than I thought it ever would. Last Friday was Feb. 29th. A day that comes only every four years. I was under the impression that it was a good thing to have an extra day. This year, we ended up not having the greatest day. The Dad was laid off from his job. And so, for the past week, we have spent many hours on-line looking for The Dad's next job.
During all this craziness, I have decided that I will go back to school. I am going to start at the community college and work my way up. I am excited and ready to start today, but I have to wait for the Summer term which I can register for April 21st.
I am glad that spring break is next week so we can have a break from the stress of life and spend some time with family, having a good time!!
